Chase Slate card with FICO score?

Hi,

I do not need an extra credit card at all, but I'm kind of curious about the idea of getting my credit score.

The card is free.

Anyone else have experience with this?  Is it worth knowing your score?

Many cards offer FICO score nowadays. The Slate card is only good for balance transfers. Pick a better one.

creditkarma.com and mint.com offer approximations.  You can pay (sometimes less than 10 bucks) for your actual score from a credit agency, as well.  Plus, the pull of your score by Chase will hurt your score you looking it up yourself will not.

Is there any reason to get those, really?  I don't suppose it would substantially alter our behavior.  I'm unlikely to go to the effort to get another card that we don't need, this was just convenient because we have Chase cards already.

You might consider Citi Double Cash for 2% cash back.  It includes free fico score.

Capital One includes cash back and a credit score. I think Walmart and Discover cards do too. creditsesame.com is free and offers an approximation (like creditkarma they try to get you to get credit offers through them).
