What is the best book or books you recommend for DIY Home Repair & Improvement? Did you buy paperback or the ebook versions? Thank you

What kind of home repairs and improvement are you looking to do? 

I generally don't find books all that helpful for anything other than ideas for projects (I'm a total sucker for cordwood masonry books). 

For specifics on a project, the internet has been a godsend for quick tips and howtos.

It’s hard to imagine a book that could be comprehensive enough to be useful, without also being absolutely enormous.

I suggest Youtube. There are how-to videos on pretty much everything.

I certainly agree with recommending YouTube. However, I do have a set of Home Repair and Improvement books from Time-Life that I purchased in the early 90s that I still refer back to on occasion.
