Book Ideas for Nephews
« on: November 29, 2019, 11:13:44 PM »
Looking for book ideas for a couple 23 year olds attending community college. One is pursing a Cyber Security degree and the other is focused on general studies and not sure what he wants to do with his life.  I bought the former A Simple Path to Wealth last Christmas and the latter Nord's military finance book (ended up with medical separation from the Army).  Playing With Fire doesn't seem to be aimed at their age group and some of the other related books that come to mind are more "RE" than "FI."  I reached out to my sister for ideas, but I also wanted to see if any of you had recommendations.

Designing Your Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans. Based on a course they taught to Freshmen at Stanford.

I would suggest “the algebra of happiness “ by Scott Galloway. I wish someone would have given me that book in my early 20s.

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey is also very good.

"Set For Life" by Scott Trench. Lays out an easy to understand game plan for financial success in life. Similar in a lot of respects to Your Money or Your Life, but simplified and not as heavy on the hippie environmentalism.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
