Why the hell not. I have no attachment to google if Bing can provide the same thing.

I used Vitai Slade's link, so here's mine!

Bing has been screwing up my account lately.  Last week, just a couple of days after they reinstated my points that I had earned (and was having trouble redeeming), my more than 640 points suddenly vanished.  I contacted customer service right away, but it still has not been remedied.

Hm, I wonder what caused that. I only have 67 right now, but if someone uses my referral I'll get a free $5 amazon gift card. That's not too bad for very minimal work even if it ended up being a one time thing.

I can't believe I JUST discovered this!  Getting paid for doing something I do everyday anyway!

It's a no-brainer.

It is a no brainer until you try to redeem an award, and they deny it, and cancel your account for no specified reason.

Not my Microsoft account, just Bing rewards. I lost over 2,000 points. 7 months of Hulu at the promo rate, $56. If they didn't like my searches they didn't have to credit them... They were legit, some repetitive stock ticker symbols but I actually liked that the stats came right up.
Usually the results were terrible. I would switch to Google when not finding something, and there it was the whole time.

I was coming around to Microsoft again too... No more.

I had that problem 2 weeks ago.  They told me that I had violated the terms of agreement.  I responded that I had not.  They relented and reinstated my account.  It was an annoying and slow process.  But I am still happy with my $60 in my Amazon account as a result of my daily Bing searches.

So now when I want to redeem for Amazon gift cards, I encounter major difficulties, as I have a RW mobile phone and a Vonage landline and they will not call either of these with the code I need?  WTH?  Anyone have a good work around for this?  My attempts at communicating with their Customer Service folks were ineffective.

Thank you and hugs to folks who used my referral code.  XOXOXO

Before they stole my points, they gave me the same issues with Republic and Google Voice. Finally called from my office phone.

The last person who used my referral link did not reach Silver Status, so I did not receive any points.  Therefore, I am leaving my referral link again here:

https://www.bing.com/explore/rewards?PUBL=REFERAFRIEND&CREA=RAW&rrid=_334ab1a7-fc70-e70a-f2d8-7f19cd5d605e

Thanks to anyone who uses it!

Double points are being offered this weekend (including Monday)!

I'd heard a little about the Bing rewards program, but I hadn't really looked into it before. You all have collectively convinced me to give it a shot; it's so simple, why wouldn't I?

I have thus far collected $45.00 in gift cards for a daily search using the Bot takes me about 5 minutes.  I don't always search on the weekends.

I often miss the weekends.  My job has me tied to a computer 9 hours a day one of which is my lunch hour so it's easy for me during the week.  Takes 5 minutes.

I had my wife sign up using my link and I made sure she got to Silver.  Passed it on to some others that thought I was spamming them.  Oh well free money is free money.

Is it just my account? Now it says you only get 5 credits for a referral who gets up to silver, which is nothing.

Nope, I did get 200 points for my wife but it doesn't register that I have invited anyone yet.  And yea 5 points is nothing.  I did invite a few people that I thought might be up for free money.  The one friend thought it was spam mail.  I told him it wasn't and that it was actual money I was getting.  I don't think he signed up.  Ah well.

I have also noticed that my account and my wife's vary on how many searches you can do in one day.  Sometimes one is more then the other.  If I miss the weekend on Monday it seems that I can do more searches.  Missed Sunday for the 2nd day of double points but not sure I actually got double points on saturday.  Ah well it's free money can you really complain.

Is it just my account? Now it says you only get 5 credits for a referral who gets up to silver, which is nothing.

Has anyone posted the "If Google was a guy" link yet?  NSFW due to profanity.

This is part 2, relevant to the Bing love.  Parts 1 and 3 also amusing.

I don't understand why I get the option of doing more searches and earning more points than my DH, but I got $20. in October, which isn't bad!  I'm usually able to get 60 pts per day over the weekend, which is Sat/Sun/Mon.  Last week, Fri was counted as a holiday, so I'll be getting 240 points in 4 days.  I get 30 points on the other days.

Fair warning: Bing Rewards cancels accounts with no warning, for no specific reason, right after you try to cash in your points.

I am sorry and embarrassed I ever recommended that lousy search engine, but $100+ for searching the internet is a good deal if Bing would honor it.

Here's my Bing Rewards referral link for anyone who is interested in signing up: https://www.bing.com/explore/rewards?PUBL=REFERAFRIEND&CREA=RAW&rrid=_5282aaa4-7cc0-0a66-a360-e3479f8239e8

I've earned $15 worth of free Amazon gift cards so far.  Today, I cashed in $4 worth of credit (including shipping) to get a used copy of Season 1 of "Living With Ed" on DVD.  I used to watch that show on Planet Green back when I had cable (I don't think that station even exists anymore) and it's a really funny reality show about environmentally-friendly living starring Ed Begley Jr. and his wife Rachelle.  Guests included Bill Nye the Science Guy, Jackson Browne, and Jay Leno, among others.  There's another used copy on there for the same price if anyone wants to check it out.

FYI, if you have hulu, I find that reward to be a better "rate" of return.  It's 475 gold for $5 amazon credit, or 420 (gold) for a HuluPlus one month credit ($8).  That's a cost of 52.5 points per dollar or 95 points.  You can add it to an existing account - it doesn't have to be a new account.

Not sure about the bonus people are talking about but I have:
15 PC, 10 mobile (which I don't use), 1 random point a day, 3 trivia every so often (maybe weekly?).
In 3-4 months, using exclusively it at work (although I'm going to start using it on the weekend at home) and not much the first month, I've earned 1026.

Do you know what my guilty pleasure is? Books.

$60/year in Amazon books from Bing coupled with my $50 book allowance from work?

I like books too.

Lucky for me, that here in Texas, they have these buildings full of books that you can read for free.

They call them libraries.

I actually think Bing is better than Google for some search functions now. It's certainly been getting better and better over the last 2 years. The Bird's Eye View on Bing Maps is also brilliant. I know this is weird but I can't stand the fonts that bing uses. Search results make it look like a really low-end site.

On the other hand, their video results in certain categories.... :-)

Did anyone else notice that they jacked up the number of points needed to redeem the Hulu subscription from 420 to 680 (gold status)? Changed my goal to the $5 Chipotle gift card.

Yes!  I noticed this the day they did it last week.  In the beginning I saved until I had about 1000 pts before spending any, but of late I've been getting as soon as I hit the goal for fear they'd change that one.  I had 4 free months of Hulu through Bing rewards so I'm pretty disappointed by this change.  I'm now even wondering if something like swagbucks would offer better rewards.
