I think this is new, as I looked into getting an Amazon card earlier this year and I don't remember seeing this one.
I buy household stuff in bulk occasionally from Amazon and 3% back is a pretty good deal.

Also, there is an Amazon store card with 5% back for Prime members, but you have to have a paid Prime membership to get the cash back, and it is only Amazon.com credit, not a regular credit card.

Yep. I signed up for an airbrush air compressor. $300 but on Amazon for $150 and after the card $70. Now that was a good deal
