360 Fourth of July Sale
« on: June 28, 2013, 06:36:34 AM »
First off Disclaimer.  I work here so I'm bias and I also know what the sale things are.
Second Disclaimer.  I was a customer for 6 years before I joined the company and I sang their praises long before they called me and offered me a job and yes it's a great place to work.

Back to the sale.  It's a really good sale. Check it out when it's made public.  Sale will run July 1-3.

Are any of these ShareBuilder-related?

I hope none of them require immediate action during those days.  If I transfer money from my CU to my 360 checking I don't think it will be "released" in time to get it into my SB account.

Can you bump this in two days? :)

I've been searching the interwebs for details that might have leaked.  No luck.  I'll just have to wait.

Whenever I get "360 sale for savers" spam it's always "low" interest mortgage. Sale for borrowers....

I'm not impressed.  If you are an existing customer, the only thing this sale does for you is give you the chance to refer new customers to CapOne and then get some money if they sign up.  How hard would it have been to throw existing ShareBuilder customers a few free automatic investment credits?

I guess if anybody wants a referral, it can get us both some cash, so hit me up.

It sure looks like it.  And it says that if you use my referral link you also get the extra bonus and then I do too!  So if you are going to open one, might as well use this to do so:

https://r.capitalone360.com/f27nPrRD5f

This is from the promo link:

The nitty gritty:
You have to be a 360 SavingsSM or 360 CheckingSM Customer.
You’ll get $76 for the first 2 friends who open a 360 Savings, Kids Savings Account, 360 Checking or MONEY using the link in the referral email or your personal referral link between July 1st and July 15th.
You’ll get $20 per friend at the time they open the account. You’ll get the other $36 for the first 2 friends by July 31st.
Your friends can also earn bonuses if they meet the requirements. And if they open their accounts between July 1st and 3rd, they’ll even nab the sizzling sale bonus ($76 for 360 Savings when they open with at least $500).
Your friends must be new Customers as the primary owner of the account. Their bonus starts earning interest at account opening and is available for withdrawal after 30 days.
Keep in mind, your bonus may be reported to the IRS and your state.

Eh, a few bucks, not worth the hassle of opening a new account (and closing it later).

Maybe worth it for those tight on money - probably would have been something I'd have done in my college days (like doing the 0% balance transfer shenanigans to eke out a bit of interest on the spread, then pay the whole thing off a year later.. worth the hassle back then, not so much now.)
