Monday I awake
Warm sunlight fills my morning
Or is it Tuesday?

I dreamt of work angst
But woke to FIRE peace and joy
Thank you M M M

Sunny afternoon
No rushing, only being
In the moment now

Watching hummingbirds
Anna’s, rufous, ruby-throated
All day if I choose

Rush hour traffic sucks,
So they tell me; I don't care.
I never see it.

Sadly, I must work
Today, the next, not always
Someday, soon, the beach.

According to the link, occasionally breaking the rules has become part of haiku so I have a loophole. :)

I spent a semester in university composing limericks about my friends...  Haiku is a bit trickier for me.

This is so fun!!  Thanks @Parizade

Husband skipped the bank
Friday after work, no fun
But it twas Monday

True story.  We skipped the bank because he thought it was Friday after work (the busiest time), it was actually Monday.

Haha, love it @Loren Ver. I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago (thought Monday was Friday), then thought to myself "who does that? am I losing it?" Thanks for reassuring me that it's normal FIRE behavior.

Since my loophole was approved and inspired by @Loren Ver....

What is today? hm.
Monday? Friday? I've no idea.
I've no work to do.

Seriously, not knowing what day it is happens to me after about 3 days on vacation. It can be troublesome when traveling to remember what day it is because I have to catch a flight or something. I look forward to having no idea what day it is :)

Yesterday over the pine-scented hill
Today near the empty beach
Catching the perfect moon

It says about my main activities in the last two days. I lost track of not only the day of the week, but also the season of the year. I live in San Diego. We traveled to China in April in a hot, humid city. Coming back to San Diego seems like returning to a fall. I had to think hard which season it is the other day. LOL. Keep writing Haiku!

This generator made me laugh with it's auto reviews! https://www.poem-generator.org.uk/6vfv9xw/berries-haiku.html

"I don't like short poems. So why am I reviewing a haiku, you may wonder? Well, I liked the title - 'Berries'. It went down hill from there."

"I felt that I was a berries. It was spooky. I hope to read more by mmm. Perhaps next time, something longer."

Nice ones @A Fella from Stella. That last one made me want to write one about telework, but then I realized I would have to think about what working from home was like and I just don't want to.

Hate when that happens
So much brilliance in the night
Washed away by dawn

@MonkeyJenga, I had no idea the generator did that, that's hilarious. I'll have to try it now.
