I sub at the local HighSchool as a side hustle. I do it because I like mentoring kids and it qualifies me to coach football. I only work one or two days a week and it gives me a little extra beer money (I'm a beer snob). I've been filling in for the newly hired JROTC instructor who failed to qualify with the Army, so was let go. Apparently, it will take months to hire a new instructor, so I was asked to take on the job full time until a replacement can be found. I agreed since, again, I love mentoring kids and as a retired Marine NCO, this is right up my alley. So...looks like I am the interim JROTC instructor for the remainder of the term, at least. 40 hours per week for the foreseeable future. Does this disqualify me as ER? Should I stop posting in the Post-FIRE forum? I guess I could always say that I invest 90% of my income since it will all be going into my ROTH. Minus beer money, of course. 😉🇺🇸
