I'd love for some mustachian who is over 60 to fill this out and get their story on NPR: https://www.npr.org/2018/04/03/597652164/tell-us-are-you-unable-to-retire-or-retired-but-back-to-work
I have a feeling this will turn into another, "Look how hard it is to retire" piece. It would be nice for them to get an alternative perspective.

Survey is inactive. The deadline for responding is passed.

I don't think they're wanting to hear from the FIRE crowd. They want examples to fit their narrative.

I get tired of articles decrying how impossible it is for Boomers to retire. I am 62 and retired last December. I had setbacks in my life, including a divorce, and never made the big bucks. These articles are so often one-sided and never ask the tough questions of the person profiled; they just want to write an empathetic piece, so they skew the story to show that the person is downtrodden and had no choices.

Lots of people of all ages have "woe is me" stories. The victim mentality is pervasive. Rather than take responsibility for their own decisions, they want to blame someone or something else for not saving or planning for retirement.
