Rock on! How has your stash made out over these 4 years? If I recall, yours is much smaller than most and you play the options game a bit.

stash is bigger than at start.  I had a 72% return year at outset that made a huge difference.  I do OK these days with dividends and distributions meeting most of budgetary needs...

Congratulations!

Did you notice a decompression period after you stopped work?  How long did it last?

(It's been five months for me and there have a lot of high points but more lows than I would have expected.  It's taken a lot longer to adjust than I thought it would.)

The main decompression took about 6 months.  My attitude continued to improve for about 18 months though before I hit a steady state.  Take as much time as you need.  You are no longer on someone else's schedule for life.

Wow, has it been four years already?   It seems like only yesterday!  Congrats!

I'm coming up on 1 year in just a couple weeks!  It feels like life is only just starting!

I do OK these days with dividends and distributions meeting most of budgetary needs...

You said your stache was bigger now, but then you made the quoted statement.

I assume that the huge 72% growth spurt in the beginning is being "eroded" away?

If that is the case, how is tha making you feel?

She goes up, she goes down...  At any rate, according to my back of the napkin analysis, I'm up 21.03% since year end.  I'm repositioning lately for more defense because I'm concerned about a European banking crisis and the Italian referendum to leave the Euro currency union.  I'll give up some upside but I'm OK with that...I have..."enough".

Is there an Italian euro referendum coming?  I believe there is a constitutional change referendum on December 4, which if not approved might lead to the Renzi government resigning, and I know that the 5 star movement wants a euro referendum, but I don't think its certain to happen by any means, yet.

Congrats on four years FIRE!

It was four years for me in July. Hard to believe how fast it has gone. No complaints on my end.
