Year Up: skills building charity

MSN is recommending this organization as a charity that actually helps poor people get out of poverty.

Any of you have any experience with it?

Never heard of it.  But Charity Navigator thinks we’ll of it:

Thanks!

You're welcome!  Charity Navigator is my go to for determining which charities do their stated intent with your $ vs. those self licking ice cream cones that spend most (or even all) income on admin and fundraising.  Based on their rating, I may send some money to Year Up.

I'm familiar with YearUp and I know it to be a great organization. (I've worked with/in/for nonprofits for 20 years).
