I just watched episode 1 of season 4 of Killjoys. It is just so weird--entertaining, I guess--not in the same class as The Expanse, but an OK way to kill 45 minutes. Since I watched seasons 1,2,and 3, I decided to hang in there for season 4. It is more like watching a comic book than like watching a dramatic story. I liked Dark Matter, too, and it really should have had a chance to finish the story lines. I don't understand why Killjoys was renewed and Dark Matter wasn't. They were both complex, comic book science fiction...I thought on about the same level with each other.
If you want the really good stuff, I'd go with Babylon 5 (gets much better after the first blah season), and some of the better episodes of TNG and DS9. And The Expanse, of course. I liked Enterprise, although you had to suffer through seasons 1 and 2 to get to the much better seasons 3 and 4. That was another show that should not have been cancelled. And as others have posted, Star Trek TOS--I pass over the ergggg episodes and watch the good ones. (Just google something like "What are the best episodes of....? " to get recommendations. )
And Star Gate SG-1, Star Gate Atlantis, and Star Gate Universe are all worth looking for--just for fun entertainment. Universe should never have been cancelled--another series where viewers were unfairly left hanging.
