Interesting, I haven't heard of them, but there is a ton of music coming out of Iceland on per-capita terms (it's like an open-mic-night country: they even do Reggae!). Hard to beat () from Sigur Ros though.

Have you heard this? Hoppipolla Vitamin String Quartet tribute to Sigur Ros One of my favorite songs.

That's good! Hoppipolla is easily the best from Takk... (which I never got into as much as Valtari, for example).

Lately I've revisited 2 of the best "alternative" albums from the 1990's: Built to Spill's "Perfect from Now On" and Neutral Milk Hotel's "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea". Amazing how good these albums hold up.

Along similar lines, Sigur Ros with the LA philharmonic (also, article on how LA's philharmonic is much better than NY's).

Hamilton. Everything from Hamilton. I scored unexpected tickets for this Friday night. Trying to maximize the experience by learning as much of the music as possible before the show, because I'm not gonna waste my shot!

A Turkish rock band. They call themselves MaNga. They kinda remind me of Linkin Park.

Oingo Boingo, Dead Man's Party. My 2.5 year old is unimpressed. I will convert him, it will just take more listening on his part.

Maybe in a few years your little one come into the fold. My nephew became a fan at 15 after I told him that Elfman had a band before he started doing film scores for Tim Burton. It was really fun having the opportunity to introduce him to their music.

Currently playing: X Japan - Scars

Vitamin String Quartet has a cover of Mudhoney's Touch Me I'm Sick.
The song has been called "The opening salvo of grunge" by engineer/producer Jack Endino.

LOVE this song! Good taste :) Their other songs are rather splendid as well, though this is probably their best so far.

Artist: Khemmis
Album:Hunted

I just discovered it on Amazon Prime music (Prime is worth it to me since I use so many aspects of it).

http://www.metalinjection.net/reviews/khemmis-hunted

I think it kind of sounds kind of like Opeth more than the bands mentioned in the above review. But just an awesome album. Check it out!

Moan (Trentemoller Vocal Remix) - Trentemoller
Hadn't heard Trentemoller before. Very relaxing, except not a total fan of the glitchiness in the very beginning. Possibly of interest Four Tet - Angel Echoes

P.S.: the picture of all of those mismatched chairs made my OCD very unhappy.
