Protest The Hero - Mist

This is the best song I've heard in a while. There is shredding, soaring vocals, and double bass.

Newfoundlanders should petition for it to become their provincial anthem.

This! I can't get it out of my head! Aaaaaahhhh!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbLmZWQleLc

And then it leads to listening to old skeezy Morricone scores from the late 60s... for hours.

You're welcome.

Knew from the band and title I'd enjoy it.

Was surprised, but wasn't disappointed.

The soundtrack from Hamilton.  Love it.  It's so good.
And for anyone who hasn't seen the PBS documentary of Hamilton's America, I highly recommend it.  It explains the broadway musical and has a lot of teasers in it for those of us who will not be paying $1000/ticket, but who are still obsessed with it.

Goldfrapp always seemed like the sort of stuff I should like but haven't really gotten into yet; I might have to check out the new album Silver Eye which sounds promising.

Speaking of synth/electropop, the latest Austra album (Future Politics) is really good but I haven't seen it reviewed well so it probably depends on how you feel about the way her voice is produced on the album!

Portishead - portishead (great album)
bikini kill --all American rejects (riot girl anthem rock album)

And maybe the most mustachian song of all time:
Petroleum distillates by Fifteen
Song posted here followed by lyrics

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F6ZEsB4r1Xk

I've been having a hard time trying to justify
The clouds arising from the cars we drive
And a little too easy seems just a little too hard today
And I'm afraid my children are going to have to watch the world waste away
Been having a hard time trying to accept the fact
That paying money for four walls leaves the slavery intact
And a little too easy seems just a little too hard today
And I'm afraid my children are going to have to watch the world slip away
I know, I know, I know, life has become slavery
Costs two dollars a minute and additional charges to pray to god today
See I've been looking for some guidance but the voice on the phone ain't got a damn thing to say
And a little too easy seems just a little too hard today
And I'm afraid my children are going to have to watch the world fade away
I was born a little too late to see the dream that they called America
See I only want to be a Free man but it's against the law to sleep on the ground in Gods land
And a little too easy seems just a little bit insane
And I'm afraid I'm going to have to run for my life one of these days
I know, I know, I know, life has become slavery
The ground is my body, it's been poisoned with lead and junk food and toxic waste
The sky is my mind it's been clouded with cigarettes and fluorocarbons and petroleum distillates
The water's my heart, it's been broken with booze and drugs and shooting up paste
The sun is my spirit, it belongs to all of us, I guess we're all one sick race
And autonomy shall reward itself with freedom
And humility shall reward itself with peace
And the dissolution of possession and the integration of humanity
Shall bring forth a sharing of our responsibility
For our lives and our earth

Am liking the variety on this page.

Generally enjoying but still undecided on the new Pharmakon album Contact, which is getting decent reviews (from those 20 people in the world that listen to death industrial music). I've been a fan since Abandon in 2013 so I have high hopes it's a grower.

In addition to being good, there is something about Fishbach that reminds me of the recent John Oliver segment: So You Think You Can France?

Interesting, I haven't heard of them, but there is a ton of music coming out of Iceland on per-capita terms (it's like an open-mic-night country: they even do Reggae!). Hard to beat () from Sigur Ros though.
