Large kid wanted a somewhat traditional Memorial Day dinner, so after we adjusted for the grill being out of gas, we had: baked beans, grilled (OK, broiled) brats and texas rope sausage (thanks, Trader Joe's!), potato salad, sauerkraut (made by me, last fall), cole slaw, and grilled eggplant.
It was delicious, especially since we don't keep mayo around (I'm not a fan) and the first step was "make mayonnaise" (look up "NWEdible make mayo" for instructions).
He's making brownies now. Urp.
