Obviously some may retire and a couple might be replaced (resignation/death) - but just as 2020 requires the GOP to play substantial defense, 2022 is also a very hard map for them.
Of the two who have already announced their retirement, both are GOP senators in purple states (Burr - N.C. and Toomey - PA).

I was born during the Carter Presidency and lived in Texas from 1982-2002. The idea of Texas being in play is simply unthinkable to me. They haven't elected a Democrat state-wide since 1992.

The Democratic Party ground game seems particularly on point in Texas (Beto O'Rourke) and Georgia (Stacy Abrams) which may make them better bets than Florida.  I'm hoping a win for Biden in either or both, declared early, would put a serious dent in Trump's attempts to steal votes through the courts and dampen the spirits of his supporters for any shenanigans after polls close.

It is domestic terrorism, using forceful means to interfere in the election.  Nazi brownshirts of 2020.

And yet, I’m pretty sure nothing happened to them. And it won’t because they’re Trump supporters in Texas, which is still tightly controlled by the GOP (who are also seeking to invalidate 100,000 ballots).. Imagine if staffers on Biden’s bus had opened fire. Or if the situation were reversed and a bunch of terrorists flying Biden-Harris flags had tried to run a bus off the road.

I’m starting to wonder if we should take down our Biden sign. Our neighbors down the street did yesterday. A couple more Trump signs have gone up, and I can’t assume that those neighbors aren’t in favor of partisan violence. Their cult leader is literally encouraging it. The sign is definitely coming down when I leave for the polls early Tuesday morning. We’re four blocks from a polling place and I don’t want any of Trump’s armed “poll watchers” deciding to retaliate while driving through the neighborhood.

That is exactly why we didn't put up a sign. We can't protect the house when we are away. And we don't want to attract trouble when our youngest is home alone schooling online. Our non-existent sign is unlikely to sway any voters. And we're firmly in a red state.

I was recalling four years ago when Donald Trump suddenly went silent on Twitter for more than a day before the election.

Why isn't he doing so this time? Last time, the silence was taken as a sign that he would lay aside his TV persona and become serious about living up to the office. I think it was a significant tie-breaker for many undecided voters (although I have never seen any polling to back up this belief).

Sorry to hear that- and I hope you all stay safe. In high school I worked as a janitor at a nearby temple and security was always top of mind. I am personally against all of these in some way, and I don't think they benefit our country in the manner that his supporters suppose they do (in particular things like ending the TPP/JCPOA and tariffs... but his supporters frequently point to these as way our country is "better" than it was in 2015.

Just want to point out that TPP failed because of EU street resistance, and it certainly was not good for the US - if by good you mean for the economy.

btw. just now the 3rd low flying plane in an hour just crossed above my head (old German-German border is used because low density of people), and I wonder if they train for something after your election...

I am pretty sure that TTIP didn't fail because of EU street resistance. Yes, there were huge protests against it (in Germany), but they would have pushed it through.

Let's just say I have insider information ;) The word used in parliament was "poisened". It was still awfully close, and the funny point is that the pro-TTIP people dug their own grave by continuing to lie. Like saying A won't come when A was clearly written in the documents.
The good old time when clear lies actually made people go against you LOL
