I'm possibly excited about that movie. Only because she was in Anchorman.

Colorado showing the other 49 states that you can sell marijuana in stores without hurting The Children™.
Vladimir Putin posing half naked riding a polar bear in the Winter Olympics.
The NSA getting destroyed in never-ending congressional hearings.
The death of the BCS starting in the next NCAA season.
Computers doing things I never even knew I wanted them to do.
Mad Men returning for their final season.

All that stuff too. I didn't know some try-hard was going to make a definitive list.

I will be making at least trip to New England--if I time one of them right, I will be able to see the fall colors at their max--something I haven't seen for 10 years.

Hey!  The State of Washington legalized marijuana too!  We just haven't got everything set up quite yet.

I'm also excited about mounting a road sign I stole in 2007, that says 'No Parking This Side Of The Street'' above the right side of my bed. I hope chicks "get it." That's pretty much it.

When I was a kid, we lived on Easy Street.  The sign was constantly getting stolen.

House of Cards season 2
This. Also going to (the building next to the one I currently take class in and calling it) grad school, and making and stashing fat stacks of pounds sterling in London.

I am excited about moving from our current apartment to a new one.

Our current apartment is a wooden low-rise with poor sound insulation.  The people who live right above us have a baby and a toddler.  The little boy is frequently running/stomping around their place after 10:00 p.m. at night which is when we go to bed.  We've complained to the building manager twice and tried to talking to the people upstairs about it to no avail whatsoever.

At the end of this month we are putting in our one-month's notice and are leaving here on March 1 at the latest.  We are going to rent in a concrete high-rise complex with lots of amenities including a gym, a bike locker and more professional management.

Probably a bit bad to be excited about a consumer-type item but I'm really looking forward to seeing the first public release of the Oculus Rift. Head/positional tracking 3d goggles with serious research in how to avoid sim sickness. There's already support for tons of low-cost/free games, many of which I own anyways. Big enough that John Carmack of Doom fame left id Software to oversee parts of the project.

Paul's list is amazing!

Also very excited about the new Game of Thrones season. Now we just gotta find a way to watch it, someone to borrow an HBO GO password from or something...

Something I'm excited about in the near term is taking a weekend trip to Dallas with the bf, a) because it's fun and we can't really afford real vacations so weekend road trips are pretty awesome, and b) we're going to Ikea to get an entertainment center/shelving unit for the living room that will store records, books, and tons of other shit, and look SO MUCH BETTER than the one I got off Freecycle 2 years ago. Maybe that is something pretty lame to be excited about, but whatever :)

Excited about hopefully getting back on the running wagon, even the trail running wagon. 2012 was a pretty great running year for me but in 2013 I was mostly lazy as fuck, and very complainypants about the Oklahoma summer.

I love being excited!!

Really hoping for a new non bike hating, non crack smoking, non public transit ruining, non wife beating, non racist, non high school drop out, non associated with gangs and street thugs mayor.  Actually, I'd even be excited to hit 4/7 on that list.

I got myself a bicycle for the holiday season and am using it as a car replacement every day that I can. The bike ride is 28 mi per day to replace a 26 mi car trip.

On initial calculation it will take me just a few months to make up for the initial cost of the bike, gear. I will be excited as I approach the threshold from deficit in to pure gains (in monetary value, the health benefits are simply removing a liability). The badass factor is also pretty awesome.

On that note, I've gotten 3 flats over the course of 13 bike days, which averages to about 1 per week.... I have since decided to get lifetime free tire replacement at the local bike shop...

Looking forward to not having to endure hellish winters in WI anymore. I'm moving somewhere where I don't have to wait until june 1st to plant my outside garden.

I'm hoping to pull the plug and actually retire this year. There. I said it. Now I'm at least a little bit committed :)

Would love to do some more camping this year and I'm excited to be nearly finished with college by the end of 2014 (I'll have one class left).  Hoping to sell a car or two and increase our NW by about 40-50k through selling stuff and regular monthly savings.  Should be a good year!

Sohcrates, these are some amazing pictures. Thanks for reminding me why I bust my ass at a desk the rest of the year. Where's the last picture from?

Leaving my horrible job for a new company! I have one month left and the anticipation is killing me.

Also, tv shows. Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Walking Dead.
