Worried about who will replace them.  I can't blame them, I could not work under Trump, either.

But my first thought?  "I wonder if they had FU money!"

Probably - you work that high up for long enough, you'll probably accumulate some dough even if you don't try all that hard.

Well, the article states that most of the group could be reassigned - so no job loss. The other retires, so they had enough years of service to draw benefits. It's only four people, so not that hard to find other jobs for three experienced workers.

A lot of times when people "suddenly quit" it isn't because they have FU money. It is because they are STRONGLY urged to quit...

I would imagine that this is especially true in governmental positions.
