Stop seeing posts in "Show new replies to your posts"?

I tried to search for this, but didn't find anything.

Is there a way to turn off seeing a post when you click "Show new replies to your posts"? 

I've tried the un-notify, but that doesn't work.

I don't believe there's a way to do what you're asking for just one post/thread. But after you've read the ones you want to read, you can click "Mark All Messages as Read" (or something close to that) on the right, just above the list of threads. The one you're wanting to ignore should eventually die down. Unless it's a journal, then you may just have to delete your reply within that thread so it doesn't show up anymore.

Thanks.  I will probably have to delete my post.  It's a active post that hasn't died off.

Using Notifications works better and causes less forum post entropy as people stop deleting posts to unfollow threads. By replacing New Replies with Notifications to follow threads and replies, you're also helping keep the forum running a bit smoother, too.

Go to, and set this link as your default forum bookmark:

Use the following settings:

☐ Receive forum newsletters, announcements and important notifications by email. ←This checkbox is less important since the mod staff has never sent out community notifications.
☑ Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic. ←This checkbox is vital to have selected to also use Notify as a "Show new replies" replacement, not just a PTF replacement.
☐ When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.) ←This checkbox applies specifically to including people's replies to a thread in emailed notifications.

For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me: [Instantly ▼] ←This dropdown setting apparently is important, and must be set to "Instantly" to never get email. Go figure.
For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me of: [Nothing at all ▼] ←This dropdown setting is one of the most important ones for disabling email.

The unnotify function works, you just gotta use notifications to keep up with the forum in the first place to make it work.
