I think it's dangerous to our democracy.... for a few large companies to control the majority of media. Venture capitalists are taking over community newspapers and ruining them too.

Goodbye America, it was nice knowing you.

Thank you for posting this. Being aware about potential info sources is very important. I'm done with the GOP and conservatism for the foreseeable future.

I'm concerned about both right and left sources, that's the scary part. It's not just one side, it's both.

CNN has definitely become more Fox-like this Presidential cycle but only one party has been against mega-corporations owning so many news outlets. The other party passed laws allowing it.

I worry about both sides too but right now, the GOP seems to stumbling around the most.

I think it's insane for a video about how journalists are going to be unbiased and independent, to be scripted by and forced to be read by the big media company who owns all of them. There were so many bells going off in my head. It's so 1984, or I don't even know what.

And then you have things like facebook saying they will be fighting "fake news". So now they decide what's real or not. It's such a dangerous thing.

It's a marketing ploy.  Basically "Keep watching us; don't get 'fake news' from other places, particularly the internet."

It's pretty harmless and didn't even imply that one side or the other was the culprit.  It's a bad sign that our news outlets have so thoroughly trashed their credibility that this is a potentially effective marketing strategy, but the ads themselves don't bother me.

I'm a little more bothered by the ridiculous reaction of the left, including many participants in Journolist.  Makes me a little worried about what they are still doing behind the scenes for this to seem nefarious to them.
