Amazing feat of human endeavour at the Berlin Marathon. Kipchoge is amazing.

At his average pace I can keep up with him for just 400 metres. He then keeps going for another 41,795!

I just cannot even fathom how extraordinary it is. Absolutely marvellous.

(Can you see me gushing? I'll stop now.)

To ask a question, what efforts of superhuman ability are you aware of that you find inspiring?

I worked out that I could probably sprint at that pace for 200m, on the track. So if I started the race at the 42km mark, I might be able to keep up with him until the finish. Of course, that's true for all of the elites, not just him. His superhuman effort is to be around 0.5% faster than other elite athletes.
