Hello, fellow Mustachians! I am working on a class project and need to explore the topic of reducing stigma and increasing employment opportunities for people with disabilities. If you fall into any of these categories, might you be willing to share your thoughts with me?

- You have a disability and have had challenges finding employment in the past (or present)
- You are a recruiter and have experienced challenges when working on behalf of someone who has a disability and is looking for a job
- You work for a company that hires people with disabilities (frequently or occasionally) and you can share some best or worst practices or some ideas
- You have a close friend or family member who has a disability and has faced and/or overcome employment-related challenges
- You work with people with disabilities and can share some of the challenges they have faced/overcome in the job search process
...You get the idea...

Below are the types of things I'd like to know. Given that we all value our anonymity here, as much as I'd love to talk to you on the phone, your written answers via this thread or via private message will be perfectly fine if you're willing and able to help. Feel free to answer any or all of the questions, or share other relevant information.

- Which category (above) do you fall into (for context)?
- What are the top 3 employment or job search challenges you've experienced or seen firsthand for people with disabilities?
- How is the job search process similar or different, compared to someone who is not disabled?
- What has worked well and not worked well, in your experience, for someone with a disability looking for a job?
- If a genie could grant you one wish related to helping increase employment of people with disabilities, what one thing/change would you wish for? "I wish..." or "It would be so much easier for people with disabilities to get jobs if..."

My next step after gathering insights from you and others is to meet with my team and brainstorm potential solutions/ideas to address one or more obstacles people face when looking for employment.

Thanks in advance for any insights, experiences, or ideas you can share!
