I bought something online. It cost 6$ and I wanted two of them so 12$ total. Shipping for the order was 10$, which was kinda steep but I couldn't find the item easily nearby. So I submitted my order.
Then a couple days later I got the email confirming that the order would be shipping out. Which was followed by an email saying that they were out of stock, and asking if I would like store credit or a refund for the item. So I asked for a refund for the item.
This was followed by an email saying that they were going to ship out one item. Shipping for the order is 10$. I contacted them back saying that I didn't want the item because the shipping was too high. I'd be happy to pay 5$ shipping for 1 6$ item.
Eight hours later they have sent me an email saying that they've shipped the item and will be charging me 10$ shipping.
Yeah, it's just 5$ . . . but this has kinda pissed me off. My initial inclination is to refuse to accept the item from the post office and do a charge back on my credit card for the order. Thoughts?
