Black Desert Online (picked up for $8 on steam sale) is the game I have been waiting for. Needless complicated, endlessly customizable, easy on the eyes, and easy to AFK. My kind of MMO.
Oh, I had forgotten about that game! I remember hearing there was an expansion coming out soon (or maybe out now?). It did look beautiful.
What do you mean by "easy to AFK"? I know what AFK means, I am just curious how it's easy to walk away from a computer in any MMO.
oops, late reply. My bad.
Unlike infinite running in GW2 or WoW, you can conveniently opem up your map, right click a location in the world, and be presented with a highlighted route along safe roads. You can then set character on autorun and go do something like pee, make some tea, look out the window and listen to birdsong, whatever floats your boat.
Additionally, horse breeding is a pretty fun thing for those that have the Pokemon mentality, and you train them by hitching them to wagons and leveling them up. You can use an "autoloop" along this route to run while you are at work or asleep and the horses will gain some levels when you return. Then you breed your high level horses for higher tier breeds. Highest tier sells for $65 million.
Resource collection for crafting can also be AFKed because of the way the system is built. You "hire" workers to farm, mine, or gather for you and use that in your crafting.
Crafting can be AFKed because, as long as you get the ratios right and have empty bag space and are near the proper crafting receptacle, you can click "continuous production" and come back to skill levels and neat shit in your bags!
Basically, less dreariness, more strategy. :)
