Thoughts to all of our fellow Mustachians in the path of hurricane Michael. That escalated from zero to Cat 4 pretty quickly. Stay safe!

It sure did! I hope everyone who wanted to evacuate was able to get out in time. The joke about hurricanes is "At least we know they're coming!" That wasn't so much the case this time.

It looks like the panhandle is getting hammered.

Yep! The bath water like gulf water sure didn't help. I used to want to live on the coast. I was stationed for several months in the Florida Panhandle right on the gulf. Screw that!

Wow, photos out of Mexico Beach are absolutely devastating. Some family in panhandle near GA border are saying roads are blocked and power is out for 90%+ of county. It's not a very well off area either. It's going to take years to recover from all this, if at all.

I work on a very high floor in one of the tall buildings in the Charlotte City Center. The wind has been rumbling in a way I've never heard it here. Tropical-storm force gusts. Rain falling sideways.

Hope it clears up before the afternoon commute!

The Mexico Beach footage is heartbreaking. Looks like a whole town, leveled.
