Kinda fun short quiz asks you about your political views; tells you which presidential candidates are most similar.

http://www.isidewith.com/

I got 98% Bernie, 85% Hillary.

A more interesting question I used to ask my peers:

"Was Emperor Palpatine a Republican or Democrat?"

Got some interesting answers on that...with equally interesting rationales.

BTW: Bernie 93%, Hillary 66%

Wow, that is an epic questionnaire. 95% Bernie, 84% Hillary. At the bottom, 5% Walker, 2% Cruz. I notice Trump isn't included. :)

It's probably worth it to expand the questions and pick the response with the most nuance. Often one of the expanded options reflected my opinion exactly.

Hmm... I had taken that quiz a while ago and had gotten Sanders, along with every single one of my friends. Now granted, I choose my friends (and they choose me), so it would make sense that we hold a lot of the same beliefs. That being said, I've yet to see a response where he wasn't the top choice and wasn't below 90%. Is something rotten in Denmark?

I took it a few week ago, and got high 90s for Bernie, and mid 80s for Hillary. No one else was close.

Already did, proxy registrar, and the only address I can find is an apartment in Los Angeles.

First go, I had Bernie as well, but I just clicked through like a drunken badger and came up with Rubio. Still odd that it's either Bernie or Marco.

I was 80% Rand Paul and only 65% Bernie. I'm not surprised that I match Paul because I lean fairly libertarian.  My objection to the survey is that there are not enough answers for complete and utter apathy.  So much of this crap has nothing to do with the presidency and is included so that uninformed and small-minded people can have an opinion about something.

I doubt it. The more likely explanation is that Democratic politicians as a group have less progressive policies than Democratic voters as a group. My guess is that Democratic politicians' actual beliefs are more aligned with voters' beliefs than their voting records indicate - but when it comes to governing, they roll over for the Republicans at every opportunity.

I ended up with 72% Rand Paul. 70% Marco Rubio.

But then... 67% BERNIE SANDERS. Seems suspicious.

Also 67% Donalf Trump! Odd... I had been thinking that maybe Donald Trump is just trolling our political system for fun, but this quiz suggests we have a lot in common. But when I click for more detail, it says Donald Trump had the following opinions:

1. Illegal immigrants should be granted a simple path to citizenship if they are non-violent criminals.
2. All illegal immigrants should be deported - especially if they are seeking healthcare.

Confusing. Supports my troll assumption.

I think it's because the positions Bernie Sanders holds are actually very close to what more liberal minded members of the public hold. What the media calls centrist or moderate is generally what the people inside the Beltway bubble think of as being centrist or moderate, but actually isn't very reflective of the country. Their views in the bubble are warped by all the establishment big-money donors and interest groups. Bernie is an independent and doesn't need all the corporate and interest group money to get elected, so he can have popular positions, instead of contorting himself to match the positions that the billionaires and interest groups want him to have.

If you just look at the kinds of crowds he's been getting in Iowa and New Hampshire, he's getting orders of magnitude more people showing up at his events than events held by any of the other candidates. His positions are very popular among more liberal minded people. And I don't mean they are radical--just things that tend to make sense to people. But the media likes to paint him as a loony oddball with no chance. Even the NYT's articles saying how his crowds are so huge is also gently mocking him the whole time. I would not be surprised if he won Iowa and New Hampshire.
