I've always considered XKCD to be a triumph of substance over style, instead of the too common style over substance.

I also like his dust up with the Verizon billing department, who could not be convinced that .02 cents was not the same quantity of money as 2 cents. That resulted in Mr Munroe being billed 100 times more for calls placed in Canada than the Verizon web site stated.
