We are going to the Hmong festival in our city. What better way to celebrate the best ideals of our country that to go to a festival that celebrates a group of relatively recent immigrants?
(Of course, the story of why and how these immigrants had to leave their country in the first place is much more fraught, but isn't that the case with so much of our country's interaction with the world?)
