Good games for a date
« on: April 13, 2014, 08:15:35 AM »
What are some good games to play on a date?

I'm looking for both verbal games - things like two truths and a lie - or physical games, like a board or card game.

Back in the day, we used to play Twister on the third date.  ;-)

Have a variety so it can vary based on what sort of games they enjoy.

Will there just be the two of you there?

If so, that makes it much tougher, since most "party games" are for groups.

Maybe some sort of co-op game?

I have a standing Sunday morning coffee and chess date with my significant other, but I feel like the having the tradition is more important than the game itself.

Go would also work. Banagrams is another favorite, but regular Scrabble would work too.

San Juan is a decent 2 player card game.

Never play that game with co-workers either.

I was going to say truth or dare, but then the 'Truth or Dare' blind date scene from Movie 43 popped into my head. Maybe not a good idea for a first date.

Ticket to Ride is pretty fun with two people. Childhood favorites like Don't Break the Ice and Operation are also lots of fun if you can get your hands on one!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
