Travel / Torino
« on: May 15, 2015, 02:55:05 PM »
Hi!  I just used some of my frequent flyer miles to book a trip to Torino in Italy for a week in the beginning of July.  Anyone here that have any tips or pointers for a lost traveller?

I spent most of my time outside the city when I was there a couple years ago, but I do remember a very good Egyptian museum. I think it's one of the largest outside of Egypt.

We also have very good luck finding reasonably priced accommodations on AirBNB in Italy.

Year, Airbnb seems decent there.  :)

What did you do or see outside of the city?

We spent a few days in Costa Vescovato at an apartment above a new cafe. We spent time walking the country lanes through vineyards, went to the grand opening of the cafe and generally relaxed before touring south through Italy to Rome and taking a ferry to Spain. It wasn't really a planned destination so much as one stop on an ongoing adventure. I'd been living out of a carry-on backpack for 6 months by then and it was nice to stay in one place for 5 days straight.
