Dr. Horrible's is how I was introduced to Whedon, and then we moved onto Firefly.

Definitely a good one.
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.

I'm one of the goofs who goes to conventions as a "Firefly" character.  That's me, second from the left wearing a brown coat.  :)

Glad the Mustachians all seem to dig it!

There's that one scene in "Serenity" where the Firefly comes at the Alliance through a gas fog and if you don't stand up and cheer, you ain't human.  Possibly the best science fiction moment since Luke blew up the Death Star.  (Trying not to give spoilers here isn't easy!)
That. Is. Great! Of course I can't get past the Donnie Osmond dressed as Mal image I now have stuck in my head - too cute..er... I mean handsome :-)!

Haha...   Thanks!  That might've actually made me blush a little bit.  Yeah, I decided trying to copy the hair was pretty much out of the question.

Here's a photo of me with the big guy himself from Ottawa ComicCon last year.

Meh... I'll add the other "Firefly" cast members I've met.  There's not enough photos on MMM's forums.  :)

Remember people:  Celebrity photo-ops = Extremely anti-Mustachian!  These cost about $30 a pop.

OMG Those are so great Kaspian! I see you don't have one with Inara - every (straight) guys dream girl. As a female, I'm sticking with Mal...or Jayne. Always did like the bad boys :-)!

Nope, I've never met her or Wash, Zoe, or Shepherd.  I've met a lot of celebrities at these events and I have to say, the "Firefly" cast members so far have been the most friendly of the lot.  They're not snobs at all and always give fans time for a chat.  Adam Baldwin is a far right-wing nut job, but he's still an extremely cool dude.  He remembered peoples' names and would give shout-outs to us over the course of the weekend whenever we passed him in a hallway or saw him at a room party.  (Also apparently wears stained T-shirts on photo day.  On my printed version he tried to hide it by autographing over top of the stain.)

Oh, and Kaylee was definitely my crush over Inara.

Also check out the commentary for Dr. Horrible's... it's an entire second musical!  They're all on grooveshark for free to stream and there are some real gems
