I’m a financial writer looking to profile people who have met savings goals small and large: building an emergency fund, moving to a new city, paying for a wedding or a big trip, paying for college, retiring on time—in particular looking for males and people in their 50s and up. If you're interested, please send a short description of your savings goal, and your age, to lynn@thewritingcompany.com. If you're selected, we'll have a short phone conversation, and we'll need three distinct photos of you (selfies are fine).

This forum leans young. You're more likely to find a super-saver over 50 at early-retirement.org or bogleheads.org.

I'm 50 and we made our stash of over 2M the boring and old fashioned way.  Nobody would read the article.   No charts, no spreadsheets, not even a written budget.   Just blue collar workers.  There is nothing to this stuff.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
