My husband and I recently had our first baby (!) and I would love some ideas for a meaningful Father's Day gift. He knocked it out of the park for Mother's Day by writing me a beautiful letter and getting me a gift certificate for a photographer to take a family portrait of us with the baby. He also gave me a spa gift certificate which is not mustachian but was very thoughtful.
I am already planning to write him a letter describing the qualities and values he has that I hope our son has as well. I'm stumped for other ideas, though. He talks about missing the baby while he is at work, so I'm thinking about getting a framed picture of the babe for his office. Complicating matters is the fact that we just had our anniversary, where we went out for a lunch date while grandparents babysat. His birthday is also right around the corner, and I already got him a pretty unique gift that I think he will like.
Dads, what is something you would have really appreciated on your first father's day?
