Fantasy Football?

Anyone else enjoy fantasy football?

Maybe we should get a MMM-forum fantasy league going ...

I imagine this would be quite a hit with the number-crunchers over in Investor Alley.

Thanks for the link! I wasn't thinking of like a Draft Kings style league. More of a friendly standard season-long league. I'm okay if there's some money or the line or not. I have played for a couple of years now and its a fun way to watch football on Sunday.

I prefer lingerie league football, but that's entirely different.

I like FF, but I have noticed no less joy in watching football the years I did not play. Usually the draft is fun, and then by week 7 half the league does not care anymore.

Here is my "experimental draft" league (no money):

I always have to do one of these just to test out some different theories. This year it was to draft 3 WR for the top 3 picks and see if I can piece together the RBs.

QB - Sam Bradford
RB - Carlos Hyde
RB - Latavius Murray
WR - Demaryius Thomas
WR - Calvin Johnson
TE - Zach Ertz
FLEX - Randall Cobb
D/ST - Packers
K - Matt Bryant
BN - Jeremy Maclin
BN - Ryan Matthews
BN - Ameer Abdullah
BN - Duke Johnson
BN - Ronnie Hillman
BN - Carson Palmer
BN - Virgil Green

EDIT: 10 team league, standard scoring

This looks like it could be pretty good - major focus on young talent. Could hit huge and could bomb, but that's the fun.

If you're posting your roster, you should also post the number of teams and any unusual scoring.

Obligatory lineup post:

Standard Scoring 14 team family league small money

QB: Carson Palmer
RB: Adrian Peterson
RB: Alfred Morris
WR: Julio Jones
WR: Jeremy Maclin
TE: Delanie Walker
FLEX: John Brown (Arz)
DST: Cowboys
K: B. McManus

Bench:

Joseph Randle
Martavis Bryant (draft was before suspension >.< )
Tom Brady
Darren McFadden
Darren Sproles
Malcolm Floyd
Matt Jones (handcuff to Morris)

I feel pretty good about this one. :)

10 people in my league and the only weird rule is that the flex can also be a TE (Last year I had Gronk and Graham).

I hope the focus on young talent pays off. I like boom or bust teams. I don't actually watch the football (it stresses me out when I am watching my players, and since I am in 5 leagues this year, I have a player from almost every team), so it is way more exciting when one of my young guns goes off on Monday night and I win by a point and a half.

This would be a clutch team in dynasty.

12 Person League, Standard Scoring.  I'm sorta happy with my team.  I feel like I got some sleepers along with a few big names.  Not sure why I have two kickers, kinda had a thought someone might need a trade for a K later in the season, we'll see how it pans out.....

QB: Drew Brees
RB: Marshawn Lunch
RB: Joique Bell
WR: DeAndre Hopkins
WR: Torrey Smith
TE: Austin Sefarian-Jenkins
Flex: Brandon Lafell
D: Broncos
K: Blair Walsh

B: LeGarrette Blount RB (Suspended ? games)
B: C.J. Spiller RB
B: Andy Dalton QB
B: Antonia Gates TE (Suspended 4 games)
B: Eddie Royal WR
B: Coby Fleener TE
B: Mason Crosby K

Edit to add:  I am in if we want to start a mustache league.

Kinda what I figured, picked up Crosby with my last pick.

This is my first go around at fantasy.  My team is mostly comprised of players that I like, probably isn't the best way to build a team.

It's not a bad team, and you can certainly improve it as the year goes on. But kickers are like throwing darts at a board. And people don't trade for them. It's a complicated game and takes awhile to figure out. I wouldn't carry Dalton on the team either--you have Drew Brees, so when would you ever start Dalton? You can pickup someone from waivers for the week Brees is on bye.

That's what I thought. This would be a good team in a 10 team league.
If only Julio wasn't made of glass. I think he is so overvalued.

Yeah and looks like the team just got better since Brady's suspension just got lifted. Think I'm going back to back in this league :)

12 team league, standard scoring, start 3 WRs.

QB: Matthew Stafford
RB: Eddie Lacy
RB: Joseph Randle
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: A.J. Green
WR: Alshon Jeffery
TE: Tyler Eifert
DST: Panthers
K: Adam Vinatieri

BE: Darren McFadden RB
BE: Todd Gurley RB
BE: Doug Martin RB
BE: DeAndre Hopkins WR
BE: Antonio Gates TE

I have a great bench, but am a little weak at TE (unless Gates is good after his suspension).
