I just want to urge any of you who are thinking of makin g charitable donations in response to end of year appeals, DO IT!
If you dont have much money, send your favorite organization $10. Thats a nice little amount, $10. This amount without strings attached is a good thing. If it is a membership organization like an art museum or a botanical garden and you cant afford the $40-$50-$60 to join, thats ok! Just send them $10!
" No strings attached " gifts are so important. And maybe you canwrangle out a little more for that organization if you give up participation in stupid Secret Santa events at work, or if you stop mailing gifts to far away relatives you never see, or etc. most of us are so tired of crap entering our homes, it can be a big relief to give freely and give up on buying/wrapping/mailing or exchanging obligatory gifts we do not care about.
