Those things have been around for awhile. Pretty cool really. Could be used for good (like rescue work) or evil.

Military applications don't really scare me.
What scares me is when police forces decide they need military hardware and then use it on the very people they are supposed to protect

Note: obviously this is sometimes justified and ok, but some cops have a soldier/war like mentality,
instead of a mentality of being a public servant, and they are likely to be way too trigger happy.

Thank you surfhb for posting these 2 vids. 4 legs seems better than 2. I expect the army will use such robots mainly to carry supplies. I may be unimaginative, but I struggle to see many civilian applications, except perhaps as waiters.
