1st Solo trip- hiking and mtb in CO and Moab
« on: August 21, 2016, 04:31:29 AM »
This may not be the most mustachian thing but I plan to go on my first ever solo vacation next month. I plan to hike and mountain bike in Colorado and Moab. I'm planning to hike Mount Elbert on 9/8, and hike and mountain bike around Moab/ Arches/ Canyonlands 9/11-9/14. Depending on how Elbert goes, I may attempt Longs Peak on 9/16. If not I'll do some other hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park.  (I did a 13k summit with 2,500 ft of climbing earlier this summer. I've been training for the upcoming trip and I didn't train for that trip). Feel free to suggest improvements to my itinerary or suggest specific trails around Moab. My mountain bike skill level is beginner.  (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Je8Ryy8hOFUbxG2ztu5gOk_IecECv7q7qbPWh1zn_fA/edit?usp=sharing) If anyone wants to join me for any part of it, or if you're in the general area and want to hang out late afternoon after the (potential) Longs Peak attempt, let me know.  I'm a 30 year old male for what it's worth.
