Great story!  It touched on a lot of excellent points.  I love this line: "I also stopped dyeing my gray hair, which has mortified some of my girlfriends".

Mrs. MM, I liked the next line even better: "I don't want to spend time altering myself any more." That's a wonderful philosophy right there (if you apply it to superficial cosmetic alterations, haha).
