Video 65+ in Japan
« on: April 14, 2017, 05:55:36 PM »
I came across this video on the lives of Japan's aging population.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDyPwiVObzg

Truly badass and working in their farms at age 84. Driving, and staying active. I hope that I can do half the things they do at that age. These people are truly inspirational even though there is a touch of sadness about it.

Well worth a watch.

Thank you for sharing that video. My child is obsessed with Rural Japan and would like to live there. She said she would be happy to assist the old people when needed. ;)

You are welcome. I have visited Japan a couple of times but never been to any rural areas. Would love to go there sometime. Unfortunately I don't speak any Japanese :(

rpr I didn't even see that you are the OP *waves hi*
That is so neat that you have been to Japan a couple times. I really must learn to jump in a plane and just go (but the fear is real).
DD will be taking her 3rd year of Japanese soon. She is not really a conversationalist but I think enough that it will be a good start to catch on. I showed her the wwoofing site as means to immerse and make it there with purpose.

Chippewa, *waving hi back*

All the time I was in Japan was just in Tokyo with a couple of Kyoto days thrown in. And I would guess that taking the Bullet train between the two does not really count as countryside ;) I would love to spend a month or so wandering there.

I like your blog. Keep it up.
