Here's an attempt by one author to convince others that early retirement is feasible.   I tend to agree with a number of comments  that his numbers were a bit unreasonable, but the concept was sound.  I had to laugh at the first comment that challenged his numbers by pointing out that a cell phone alone costs $100/month.  Not in my house!

Hmm.  Overly simplified, and with unnecessary "class" inflaming verbage (that's one reason I like MMM - no "class" stuff. Anyone can be Mustachian. Including the 1%er today.)

But overall I agree with the basic idea.
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
