Another reason why Yvone Chouinard is a business hero of mine and why I buy Patagonia clothing. When a companies founder is telling you the best way to buy clothing is used, well that sounds pretty Mustachian to me!

I love Patagonia but man they are not cheap clothes by any stretch. They are a great company, one of the first to utilize the California law that removes the fiduciary duty to make as much money as possible.

We LOVE Patagonia as well.  Yes - it is expensive.  But their pieces are so well made, last forever, and I can feel good about the company I am supporting.  Often ask for Patagonia items for Christmas/etc gifts from family (that refuse to "not buy us anything").  Also they have a twice yearly sale when most of the store is 50% off.  Also a few outlets around the country.
