I thought this was a pretty good article about not spending excess money.

Now, the idea that anyone spends $52 on shampoo...

But the summary was it really wasn't that bad, and that so much that we think is "necessary" is extra.

I would be interested to see a detailed list of what she did spend money on though.

I'm sure mustachians could still cut thousands.  But the fact that she -thought- she was living at exactly the dollar amount she should be and then was able to cut THOUSANDS each month is a lesson most people need to learn.

$2 shampoo works as well as $52 shampoo.

(You do see that hair dye was a "necessary" expense.)
