So the nice part about being FI is you can blog if you feel like it, or not, if you don't feel like it.
I mean, some of the FI bloggers (who actually are FI--plenty of them aren't) probably feel some compulsion to blog, for fear of "leaving money on the table." But some actually enjoy it.
The wife and I have a FI/travel blog. Sort of. We should update it, but right now, don't feel like it. I did renew the domain registration last week though, and at some point we may suddenly feel like it, and update.
The people who HAVE to blog, because their income depends on it?
Yeah, it becomes just another job.
They may be passionate about that job still, or they may come to dislike it. Because they have to do it.
When you're FI though?
You don't have to do anything. That's the beauty of it. Want a travel blog? Start one. Want to update it? Do so. Don't want to? Great, skip it! No need to monetize, build readership, or anything you don't want to do.
It's pretty great. :)
