Mustachianism spreading?

The article is full of non-mustachian assumptions, and is all about how people spending less is hurting the industry, forcing them to offer discounts, etc etc. But I still kept thinking "Cool! Maybe more people are catching on to the idea of spending less!" Of course it could also mean, as the article speculates,

but I'm choosing to be optimistic!
