Mustachian Web Tools: Financial Fitness Forecaster

Yet another ER calculator, but with a slightly different visual twist.

http://heliosophiclabs.com/~mad/RetCalc/html/retsim.html

Financial Fitness Forecaster is a fun calculator that graphs your 'stache based on your current savings, expected returns, inflation, projected expenses and incomes.

What I like about this one is the ability to put in different expenses at different times (I.e. when you have kids, when kids move out, finish college, etc.) as well as different incomes (current, when one person stops working, when second stops working, when pension or SS kicks in, etc.)

Fairly simplistic overall, but with multiple input options it's fun to play around with.

It can also create and let you save a unique URL for your inputs to revisit later and tweak, without having to remember or write down them all (if your situation is complicated).

I particularly like how you can check the box to see everything in present value, so you know what at money will be worth in today's dollars.  "Okay, so at some point I'll have 10MM, great, what does that actually mean in buying power in today's dollars?"
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.

Very cool! It's fun to compare this with a similar tool I built into my FI spreadsheet (and get essentially the same result).
