It was good to hear such a good response about it all, but it felt really patronising. If the guy was a Mustachian, he didn't need to be told how awesome he was for doing it, and having it all explained to him, he already knew that.

It made more sense with how slow and deliberate he was saying everything when I listened to the next guy who didn't know what a USB port or cable was.

Exactly, when you call Clark Howard, he's not really talking to you. He's talking to his audience. In general, he's very good at explaining the basics to everybody, since everybody is who listens to him. In encouraging the successful guy he's encouraging other people to save more.
