I paid off my mortgage at 30 (no windfalls). Didn't think it would be newsworthy. Fair play to this guy, he has his head screwed on!

Just contemplating my first mortgage at 28 in
New Zealand . It's going to be a lot later then 30, even with some serious dedication.

I really like the strategy of getting a duplex (or more) and living in the smallest/cheapest unit.
