I was wandering around Quora today, answering personal finance questions in order to put off working on real work, and I found this question:

To my surprise,
people had already linked to MMM and ERE. I was really late to the party.
Recently, MMM has been getting quite a bit more traffic from HackerNews and the WaPo, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Quora users were
actually reasonable. You can imagine my astonishment.
Granted, Quora has a much smaller user base than the WaPo, but I was cheered by the idea that people could think about early retirement without rejecting it out of hand with hundreds of complainypants comments about travel, charity, pets, health insurance, etc.
