This isn't the first time lifehacker has appeared here. This would be old news to all of us, but I know getting people to understand is hard. This might be a cool thing to send to people, follow up a few months later, and show some math.

Lifehacker is pretty hit-and-miss, but it's trending in the right direction. There are still a lot of discussions around 'how to finance X' that basically end up reading as "You shouldn't do _, but here's how to do it anyhow"
