Here is a great piece of Mustachianism over at Thought Catalog. The author makes a great case for getting out of the rat race and throwing the weight of consumerism off your shoulders. This pretty much sums it up:

You are being encouraged, from virtually every angle, to become or remain unhealthy and unfulfilled, because then you will buy more. Not to make you paranoid, but that’s the primary purpose of the glowing rectangle in your living room — to encourage poor (but not quite failing) health, general complacency, and an unconscious reflex for parting with money.

I also appreciate the message of not hating "The Man" or the world for being this way because that will just distract you from achieving your dreams. And my take on the title is that by freeing yourself of this culture of consumption and materialism you will have a life that is worth a trillion dollars.

Interesting read.

Best example today is seeing how Mark Zuckerburg has managed to hold captive a billion people with that evil little timewaster. (Yes I am on it and I will cop a face punch for being a hypocrite)

Funny though, when I saw your thread headline I immediately thought of the news story which said that Obama has the option of minting a trillion dollar coin. He can then deposit it and 15 others at the Fed and voila, debt gone, along with an incredible amount of inflation generated.

The story in ran with a video of the Simpsons episode where Homer loses Mr Burn's trillion dollar note to the Cubans.
